OUR MISSION STATEMENT
"We, the sisters of the Kappa Phi Lambda Sorority, Incorporated, strive to strengthen Sisterhood amongst women by providing Service and promoting Cultural Diversity to our members and our community, thus securing the bond of kinship for posterity. Kappa Phi Lambda exists to further educate individuals about Pan-Asian culture, while keeping our own identities. We aim for academic excellence, keeping in mind the importance of education and learning as the key to strength, awareness, and fulfillment."
OUR PILLARS
Service
Kappa Phi Lambda Sorority is an organization that prides itself on its sense of commitment to cultural diversity and strong bonds of sisterhood. However, our other primary focus is to offer our service to the community. Our community has given us the fundamental moral values that make us the women that we are today, so we love to give back, and inspire others to give back as well. Sisters often volunteer independently, but oftentimes we help out at events as a whole organization!
Sisterhood
Our sisterhood was built upon foundations of love, acceptance, and empowerment. Our bond was initialized by our mutual values of cultural education and social impact. From there, it flourished into a lifelong bond. We constantly receive support from alumni, even long after they graduated. From the late nights to early mornings, we've been there for each other and we will never doubt each other's support and loyalty. Kappa Phi Lambda truly offers an eternal sisterhood.
Cultural Diversity
Kappa Phi Lambda strives to educate and emphasize the importance of being proud of your culture and where you came from. Not only do we uphold these values within our organization, but also within the communities in our university and beyond. While we do classify ourselves as a Pan-Asian interest sorority, by no means do we limit membership to those of only Asian descent. We accept girls from every ethnicity, background, and culture. We believe that diversity is what helps broaden the horizons of thinking and understanding. Our sisters come from very diverse backgrounds, including French, Korean, Chinese, Latino, Caucasian, Thai, Filipino, Japanese, Indonesian, Nepali, and African-American.
